Monaco, Czech Republic Sign TIEA
August 1 — Monaco and the Czech Republic signed a tax information exchange agreement, the Monaco government announced.
The agreement was signed on July 31 by Monaco’s Government Counsellor for External Relations and Cooperation José Badia and the Czech Republic Ambassador to Monaco Marie Chatardova.
The agreement is in line with the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development’s international standard and recognizes the mutual commitment of the contracting states to implement financial regulation systems to combat money laundering, terrorist financing and other financial and tax offences.
The two countries completed negotiations for a TIEA December 10, 2012.
The two countries also signed a joint declaration on continuing to review measures to further strengthen bilateral relations.
