Latvia and Qatar sign agreement on double taxation avoidance
On the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York yesterday, Latvian Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkevics (Unity) met with the economy minister of Qatar Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim Al Thani, during which the two sides signed an agreement on the avoidance of double taxation, LETA was informed by the Foreign Ministry.
The ministers pointed out that this is an important step in continuing to strengthen cooperation between the two countries.
During the meeting, Rinkevics emphasized that Latvia is interested in expanding economic relations with Qatar and other nations in the Persian Gulf.
The minister also invited the Qatari minister to visit Latvia together with a business delegation.
