Bulgarian banks to share information with US authorities
Sofia. Bulgarian banks will be providing U.S. authorities with information about accounts of American citizens in the country, Standart Daily reports. The Parliament’s budget and finance committee on Thursday ratified the FACTA agreement between Bulgaria and the U.S. Bulgaria signed the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) back in 2013 without a reciprocity clause. The reasons for this remained unclear, as they were written down in a classified document.
