Utah man failed to submit proper tax returns, avoided paying taxes for 12 years
A man from Pleasant Grove, Utah, was convicted of multiple counts of tax evasion for failing to submit proper tax returns and avoiding paying his taxes for 12 years.
Robin Kartchner, 69, has been convicted of 15 counts of tax evasion, according to a Tuesday press release from the Utah State Tax Commission.
The press release stated that he had failed to submit proper tax returns and avoided paying taxes since 2007, where investigators testified that he failed to file proper income returns by claiming his income was $0 for several years. According to his employer, Kartchner had reported wages between $77,013 to $112, 886.
Kartchner will face sentencing on Nov. 25, where he could serve one to 15 years in prison.
