Bath land and properties owned by offshore firms

A 12-month investigation by a national magaizne has revealed city centre properties in Bath are registered to offshore companies.

The Private Eye magazine has produced a map, which details all land and property registered in England and Wales in the name of an offshore company between 2005 and July 2014.

The map was created using Land Registry data released under Freedom of Information laws. It then linked more than 100,000 land title register entries to specific addresses. It has also tracked all leasehold and freehold interests acquired by offshore companies between 2005 and 2014.

The map identifies properties owned by any overseas company, as well as those registered in tax havens.
