Isle of Man Chief Minister queries Island’s inclusion on tax black-list
The Chief Minister has written to the District of Columbia Council to find out why the Isle of Man has been placed on their tax black-list, reports Energy FM.
The Island featured on their list of ‘tax havens’ in their recent fiscal year report, along with 39 other countries.
Allan Bell says his letter outlined the commitment the Island has made to tax cooperation in recent years, in particular our international compliance with the United States.
Responding to a written Tynwald question from Peter Karran MHK, Mr Bell concluded saying the list had been compiled without properly researched rationale.
