OECD Nations’ Tax Heads Commit To Base Erosion Plan
Law360, New York (October 24, 2014, 2:10 PM ET) — The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development delivered an agreement among over 130 tax commission delegates from 38 nations on its corporate base erosion and profit-shifting plan at the close of the Ninth Forum on Tax Administration in Dublin on Friday.
OECD and G-20 members announced their commitment to cooperate in implementing the remainder of the joint Base Erosion and Profit Shifting, or BEPS, Project and instituting automatic exchange of financial account information, projects designed to squelch tax-avoidance schemes by multinational corporations.
