UAE concludes its visits to Scandinavian countries by signing an agreement on exchange of information for tax purposes with Sweden
The UAE delegation, which was headed by HE Obaid Humaid Al Tayer, Minister of State for Financial Affairs, has concluded its official visits to the Scandinavian countries. These visits aimed at strengthening the country’s network of agreements on exchange of information for tax purposes, reviewing the financial practices adopted by these countries, exchanging experience as well as discussing joint cooperation opportunities.
HE Obaid Humaid Al Tayer, Minister of State for Financial Affairs and HE Per Boland, Swedish Minister for Financial Markets and Consumer Affairs signed an agreement on exchange of information for tax purposes. The signing ceremony took place during the UAE delegation’s last visit to the capital of Sweden, Stockholm; and in the presence of HE Sultan bin Rashid Al Kaitoob, UAE Ambassador to Sweden and a number of senior officials from both parties.
Commenting on these visits, HE Obaid Humaid Al Tayer stressed the Ministry of Finance’s (MoF) commitment to enhance the UAE’s status and strengthen its regional and international relations on various different levels. This is achieved through holding joint meetings to exchange experiences in government financial areas and by signing agreements to establish long-term relations with the country’s trading partners.
