UAE, Costa Rica sign two agreements on encouraging investment, avoidance of double taxation
SAN JOSE- Manuel A. Gonzalez Sanz, Costa Rica‘s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Worship, has met with Mohammed Sharaf Al Hashemi, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for Economic and Commercial Affairs, at the ministry in capital San Jose.
During the meeting, the UAE and Costa Rica signed two agreements pertaining to protection of investment and avoidance of double taxation.
The agreement on protection of investment was signed Sanz and Al Hashemi, while the avoidance of double taxation agreement was inked by Costa Rica’s Minister of Foreign Trade, Alexander Mora, and Al Hashemi.
Al Hashemi emphasised the importance of bilateral relations and ways to enhance them between the UAE and Costa Rica.
Costa Rica’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Worship hailed the level of ties between the two countries, while stressing his country’s keenness on developing relations in the best interests of the two sides.
Mohammed Yusouf Al Awadi, UAE Ambassador to Peru and Non-Resident Ambassador to Costa Rica, Majid Saif Al Ghurair, Chairman of Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the accompanying delegation of Al Ghurair, and other officials attended the signing ceremony from the Emirati side. Minister of Foreign Trade, Alexander Mora, and other senior officials attended from the Costa Rican side.
