Parliament ratifies double tax agreement with Malaysia
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine ratified an agreement with Malaysia on the avoidance of double taxation and the prevention of tax evasion and the protocol thereto, adopting Bill No. 0002.
333 MPs voted in favor of it. It was broadcasted by official Rada Channel.
The agreement extends to individual income tax and corporate income tax in Ukraine, as well as income tax and corporate income tax from oil companies in Malaysia.
Deputy Minister of Finance Pavlo Khodakovsky announced the terms of the agreement.
“Dividends: general rate of 15%, 5% for dividends received by a company that owns less than 20% of the company’s capital that pays such dividends. Interest: general rate of 10%, royalties: general rate of 8%,” the Deputy Minister of Finance said.
As we reported earlier, Malaysian Prime Minister Mahatir Mohamad stated that there was “no evidence” that Russia is guilty of MH17 crash in Donbas 2014, as Bloomberg reported.
“We are so angry as, since the very beginning, the way Russia is accused of violations became a political issue. No evidence yet. Only rumors,” Mohamad said.
Earlier it was reported that the Prosecutor’s Office of the Netherlands will press charges on MH17 crash in Donbas in June, 2014 against Igor Girkin (Strelkov), Sergiy Dubynsky, Oleg Pulatov and Leonid Kharchenko.
